• Running-in lubricants – Type B
  For an optimum surface condition and higher contact ratio, new gears or girth gears are treated with running-in lubricants after repair lubrication. The special additives in these lubricants enable the risk of damage in the subsequent operational phases to be reduced.

• High-viscosity fluids used as a service lubricant – Type C

  Service lubricants for open gears reduce wear and contribute to long gear service lives thanks to excellent gear protection. The specialty lubricants from Klüber Lubrication deliver low consumption and optimum friction values, good adhesion and optimum load-carrying capacity. Lubricant detection is made easy with UV indicators.

• Gear grease with solid lubricant content used as a service lubricant – Type C

  These types of grease containing solid lubricants for open gears also fall under the type C service lubricants. They offer operational reliability confirmed by decades of experience. The contrast with the gear material makes it easy to visualise the contact pattern.

• Repair lubricants – Type D

  These repair lubricants are used for reconditioning the tooth flanks of open gears. They can be used to compensate for surface irregularities, scratches and scuffing and thereby improve the contact pattern. At the same time, they also help to reduce the roughness of the tooth flanks, bring vibrations down and achieve a more uniform, lower gear temperature. This extends the service life of the gears.

• Cleaning lubricants – Type E
