Klüberbio RM 8-100 is a synthetic, ultimately biodegradable stern tube oil with excellent ageing and oxidation stability. The oil is also highly resistant to contact with water.
Klüberbio RM 8-100 shows very high shear stability and forms a strong, hydrodynamic oil film also under high loads.
As the lubricant is ultimately biodegradable and a very good compatibility with FKM-based propeller shaft seals reduces the risk of oil loss or leakage and therefore environmental impact. The product complies also with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's requirements for classification as an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL) in terms of biodegradability, toxicity and bioaccumulation standards according to Appendix A of the EPA's Vessel General Permit (VGP).
