Klüber Lubrication receives Schaeffler Supplier Award 2022

Focus on sustainability and agility

The Schaeffler company recently awarded Klüber Lubrication with the Supplier Award 2022 as the only lubricants manufacturer to receive it. The company won that prize in the field of quality. The jury emphasised in particular the global supplier's strong commitment to the compliance with quality standards.

"Schaeffler and Klüber Lubrication are close partners in the field of research and development, who jointly develop innovative solutions for lubricants to be used in rolling bearings or other components", explains Heiko Stache, Head of Global Business Team (GBT) - Bearings. "Regular meetings together with Sales, Purchasing, Lubricant technology, Production and Logistics enable both partners to be optimally prepared for any challenges. Further important elements in this context are a fully fledged Key Account Management as well as regular exchange between the two companies at all levels. It serves for the exchange of current mutual requirements so that actions can be derived."

Schaeffler is a supplier to the automotive and other industries and conducts business worldwide. It has awarded a total of 17 of its suppliers with the Schaeffler Supplier Award for excellence in cooperation. Besides the suppliers' agility, sustainability of the supply chain was one of the main criteria.

Schaeffler has set itself the goal of doing business in a carbon-neutral way throughout the value added chain by 2040. Its own production is to be free of CO2 net emissions by 2030. For this reason, Schaeffler counts on the cooperation with suppliers like Klüber Lubrication, who have undertaken to reach challenging sustainability goals. The worldwide network of suppliers is an important key for Schaeffler to reach the goal of carbon neutrality by 2040.
