The single most important challenge faced by the food industry is food safety. With all else in perfect order, food is still open to contamination from even the slightest drip of lubricant grease or oil from a processing machine. Product recalls due to food contamination can cost a business enormous time and money – if not their reputation.
Additionally, Operators and OEMs of food machines have to meet constantly growing technical demands like failure-free operation and reduced downtime. Key components requiring specialised lubrication in the food industry are transport chains. Improper chain lubrication can lead to residue build-up, wear and eventually the loss of articulation in these chains. All of which could ultimately result in a breakdown, bringing production and output to a complete halt. Working side by side with the food industry, Klüber Lubrication has developed a comprehensive line of NSF H1 registered lubricants designed to meet the industry’s extreme demands.
Safety is a chain action!
As a manufacturer of food products, you will not be content just to have lubricants that comply with legal regulations. You also expect them to be physiologically safe, neutral in taste and odor; and reduce friction and wear. This cannot be fully attained with conventional chain oils.
That is why Klüber Lubrication brings you Klüberfood NH1 CX 4-220, the ultimate adhesive chain oil for the food-processing industry. A combination of high-viscosity oil and carrier fluid, Klüberfood NH1 CX 4-220 is adhesive and at the same time has good penetration properties that help avoid drip-off. Its excellent anti-wear behavior helps extend re-lubrication intervals and achieve longer chain life.
Klüberfood NH1 CX 4-220 is an efficient lubricant for chains operating at room temperature. The fully synthetic chain oil is NSF H1 registered for increased process reliability and ISO 21469-certified to comply with standard hygiene requirements. Especially developed for the lubrication of overhead chains, Klüberfood NH1 CX 4-220 can also be used by the chocolate industry and other food-processing sectors.
Klüberfood NH1 CX 4-220 can be easily applied by brush or through centralised lubrication systems at room temperature. Re-lubrication can be performed at temperatures <60 °C or after the chain has cooled down.
