As an operator of tugboats equipped with ATB couplings you know how important it is to select the right high-performance lubricant for the coupling system between the tug and the barge. As very high forces act on the couplings, wear reduction is of particular importance.
We have designed Klüberbio AM 12-501 especially for these taxing requirements. Klüberbio AM 12-501 meets the OEM specification for ATB coupling systems in terms of pumpability, water resistance, corrosion protection and load-carrying capacity.
Additionally, the excellent adhesion and good water resistance can lower lubricant consumption. This will further reduce your operating costs and is beneficial to the environment.
Klüberbio AM 12-501 complies with the requirements for classification as an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL) in terms of biodegradability, toxicity and bioaccumulation, as defined by the US Environmental Protection Agency for the "2013 Vessel General Permit".
Benefits for your application
Complies with the requirements for Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EAL) as defined in Appendix A of the 2013 Vessel General Permit
Lower environmental impact in the event of leakage. The base oil consists of renewable raw materials and is readily biodegradable.
Cost savings and reduced consumption due to excellent adhesion and water resistance
Reliable operation due to good wear and corrosion protection as well as high load-carrying capacity
Good pumpability in lubrication systems
