New, versatile adhesive lubricant provides optimum results at friction points

Reducing storage costs and preventing the application of a wrong lubricant

Munich, 18 September 2012 - Klübersynth AG 14-61 is a new adhesive lubricant developed by Klüber Lubrication especially for gear rim and pinion drives and plain bearings, for example yaw bearings in wind power plants. The new synthetic special lubricant has a wide service temperature range and remains suitably soft even at low temperatures. Klübersynth AG 14-61 can be applied by means of central lubricating systems at temperatures down to minus 30 degrees Celsius. Consisting of selected solid lubricants and additives, the new adhesive lubricant offers excellent wear protection and can help increase the service life of gear rim and pinion drive mechanisms. Another advantage of the new adhesive lubricant is its versatility.

"As Klübersynth AG 14-61 shows optimum results in gears as well as in plain bearings, the number of different lubricants used can be reduced," explains Ari-Pekka Holm, Manager Business Unit Wind Energy at Klüber Lubrication. "This leads to lower storage costs and a lower risk of the wrong lubricant being used in a particular application."

While high-performance products made by Klüber Lubrication are already used in numerous wind power plants worldwide, many others are being prepared for lubricant changeover. Widely renowned manufacturers of components and installations are using the products developed Klüber Lubrication for initial fill and recommend them to operators.
