"The new bearing grease ensures very good component availability, also in corrosive environments, under strong vibrations and high loads", explains Thomas Kamprath, Market Manager Rail at Klüber Lubrication. "The powerful hybrid grease has shown to run for hundreds of thousands of kilometres without relubrication in the field."
Klübersynth BHP 72-102 is based on an innovative, patented lubricant concept for high oil retention, also at constantly high temperatures. The new hybrid grease forms a stable grease collar serving as a vibration-resistant oil reservoir for better protection against contamination.
A tried-and-tested product - ISOFLEX TOPAS L 152
Besides the new product Klübersynth BHP 72-102, operators can opt for the fully synthetic rolling bearing grease ISOFLEX TOPAS L 152, which has proven to be effective for the lubrication of traction motor bearings for many years. It offers excellent thermal resistance at permanent temperatures up to approx. 100 °C. The grease maintains its lubricity in traction motor bearings also after many years of use and stays smooth, making sure old grease is replaced by the new one during relubrication. The combination of a fully synthetic base oil and a special lithium soap thickener allows the use of ISOFLEX TOPAS L 152 at temperatures down to minus 50 °C with minimum friction coefficients, ensuring safe traction motor start-up.
