Klüber Lubrication impresses at 21st International Colloquium Tribology

With three speeches, Klüber Lubrication demonstrated competence and innovation at Europe’s largest and most important tribology conference.

From 9 to 11 January 2018 the Technical Academy Esslingen (TAE) invited leading experts to the 21st International Colloquium Tribology to exchange know-how in Ostfildern, Germany. One of the main contributors was Klüber Lubrication. Three colleagues shared their knowledge and greatly enriched the conference.

The first person of the trio was Dr. Christoph Mayer. He revealed the lubricant's influence on White Etching Cracks (WEC) formation, which may cause severe damage and is often found in wind turbines. Dr. André Bormuth demonstrated how different grease properties effect the efficiency of a plastic worm gear box. A further highlight was the plenary speech by Matthias Pfadt about Hydro Lubricants. He deeply impressed the audience by presenting the advantages of this innovative technology, which offers new benefits in gear applications with demand for higher sustainability and energy savings.
