New whitepapers on the role of lubricants in automation technology

More and more automation components are being used worldwide. In order to take full advantage of their benefits for planning and higher productivity, a great deal of specialist knowledge is required. We outlined the role played by specialty lubricants in the productivity of automated industrial facilities and set out the key points of lubrication and maintenance. Exactly what this involves and how you can get the most out of your automated production facility is detailed in our white paper.

More and more robots and automation components are being used worldwide. In order to take full advantage of their benefits for planning and higher productivity, a great deal of specialist knowledge is required - especially when it comes to lubrication. However, there are many fundamental insights from which all branches of industry can benefit equally.

In our new white paper "The power of specialty lubricants in automation”, we included an extended chapter on maintenance management as this is always and directly linked to high plant availability. High-performance lubricants, their matching application, but also laboratory tests of used oils and greases help to extend relubrication intervals and prevent operational malfunctions. Digital tools such as our KlüberEfficiencyManager support maintenance control and implementation digitally and at industry 4.0 level.

Another issue of relevance to all industries is the material compatibility of lubricants and seals. To prevent leakage, friction and wear, Klüber Lubrication has joined partnership with another business unit of the Freudenberg Group to put together a solution package: "Lube&Seal".

We are also aware of the specific challenges. This is why we have added industry-specific lubricant know-how to the information in three further free Special Editions:

  • The version with focus on the automotive industry also discusses how important innovative solutions are, especially in automotive and vehicle component production: for example, for the demanding requirements in paint shops and for cable routing. Click here to download.
  • Readers from the electronics industry are informed for example how lubricants perfectly fulfill their dual function on electrical contacts: to prevent both friction and deposits. This version is available here.
  • The Special Edition for the food industry is about increasing plant availability, energy efficiency and occupational safety with hygiene-compliant lubricants and systems. Download this version here.
