Klüber Lubrication, a worldwide manufacturer of specialty lubricants, will showcase Klüberfood NH1 CH 2-220, its premier oil for lubricating high-temperature chains in both baking and beverage can manufacturing applications, at Reliable Plant 2014.
The annual conference and exhibition for machinery lubrication, oil analysis and reliability professionals will be held April 22-24 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Klüberfood NH1 CH 2-220 is a fully synthetic, ester-based lubricant that can operate at extreme temperatures for longer periods of time and without residue build-up, all while protecting chain components from increased wear. Users benefit from dramatically reduced consumption, cleaner operations, reduced noise and no smoking when applying oil. The can manufacturing environment presents significant challenges for proper lubrication of chains, including high temperatures, high and low speeds, potential ingredient contamination and increased wear. Klüberfood NH1 CH 2-220 is an NSF H1-registered lubricant that not only keeps food safe from incidental contact, but solves each of the aforementioned challenges as well.
Toby Porter, food market manager for Klüber Lubrication North America L.P., will present “Choosing the Right Chain Oil for Elevated Temperatures” during the conference. Choosing an improper lubricant for a chain operating in high temperatures can result in higher maintenance costs, as well as decreased manufacturing output due to downtime. This “Lubrication Excellence” session will give participants an understanding of how a lubricant reacts to varying temperatures, in addition to providing critical information on selecting the appropriate chemistry for a chain application.
Representatives from Klüber Lubrication will also be available in booth #328 to discuss how the company is pioneering increased safety initiatives in the food and beverage markets. Its manufacturing facility in Londonderry, N.H. recently received the NSF ISO 21469 certification, a plant and product certification that takes a holistic approach to the manufacturing of lubricating oils and greases.
