Vienna/Salzburg, 8 October 2025 – As part of the klimaaktiv Conference 2025, Klüber Lubrication Austria was accepted as a new technology partner in the klimaaktiv programme on 6 October. The admission to the partner network of klimaaktiv, an initiative of the Federal Ministries for Climate Action, Energy and Mobility, took place at the Erste Bank Campus in Vienna – Florian Held, Managing Director Sales & Marketing, and Doris Preiner, Regional Manager Marketing Communications, accepted the award together.
"Sustainability is not a trend for us, but an entrepreneurial aspiration – by being included in the klimaaktiv program, we are reaffirming our responsibility to actively contribute to the climate future," says Florian Held.
"We see our role as a technology partner in making industrial processes more efficient and climate-friendly – with tailor-made lubricant solutions and a clear focus on benefits for people and the environment."
The conference was held under the motto "Shaping the Climate Future – Security for the Economy and Society" and offered space for intensive exchange on the challenges and opportunities of climate transformation.
Klüber Lubrication Austria is involved in the klimaaktiv partner network with the Klüber Energy Efficiency Program. In energy-intensive industrial plants, optimized specialty lubricant solutions can measurably save energy, reduce CO₂ emissions and reduce operating costs at the same time. The savings analyses are carried out on the basis of internationally recognized standards such as IPMVP or DIN ISO 50015.
This commitment is part of Klüber Lubrication's comprehensive sustainability strategy. In addition to a consistent reduction of emissions in the company's own production processes, the focus is on the so-called handprint – i.e. the measurable contribution to CO₂ savings for customers. Klüber has received several awards for this commitment, including the EcoVadis Gold Medal, which the company receives for its environmental and social standards in the global supply chain.
With Klüber Energy Efficiency, Klüber Lubrication is sending a clear signal: for cooperative partnerships with companies, consistent innovation in energy-saving lubricant solutions and a climate-friendly future.
