Excellent anti-wear behavior at up to 650 degrees Celsius

New high temperature chain-oil for the food-processing and pharmaceutical industries

When it comes to food safety, speciality lubricants play a vital role – H1 registration and certification according to ISO 21469 ensure that lubricants are safe for use in the food industry. At the same time, lubricants are required to offer maximum performance, e.g. in conveyor chains or baking ovens, where temperatures may be extremely high. With Klüberfood NH1 CH 6-120 SUPREME, Klϋber Lubrication has developed a new high-temperature chain oil which exactly meets the needs of the food industry.

„Klüberfood NH1 CH 6-120 SUPREME contains H1-registered white solid lubricants instead of black graphite”, explains Aldemir Oliveira, Market Manager Food at Klüber Lubrication. “This leads to improved food safety, since contamination with black particles is avoided, and longer relubrication periods because of the impregnation effect of the solid lubricant.”

Due to its excellent anti-wear behavior even at extreme temperatures of up to 650 degrees Celsius, and its good corrosion protection, the new synthetic chain oil helps increase chain lifetimes and contributes to increased reliability of the production process. Klüberfood NH1 CH 6-120 SUPREME offers good wetting properties and excellent penetration with high dispersion stability. The new high-performance chain oil can be used for the lubrication of transport chains operating in the food processing industry at very high temperatures, e.g. plate carrier chains in baking ovens as they are commonly found in bread, tortilla or pizza production lines. The lubricant was also developed for incidental contact with products and packaging materials in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical or animal feed industries.
