Demanding components

All mechanical components require special lubricants: ball bearings, gears, chains, valves, screws and linear guideways. The lubricants used have to meet both the requirements specific to the individual components and those of their various fields of application.

The requirements for rolling bearing lubricants, for example, can vary greatly. They may have to be compatible with different bearing materials, e.g. steel, ceramics or plastics; they may have to be resistant to water, or to high or low temperatures, or to be suitable for high speeds or loads. Combine these with the conditions found in industries as varied as the food-processing, pharmaceutical or textile sectors, and you'll come to a set of requirements that is typically met by speciality lubricants from Klüber.
