REACH - the new European substance policy
REACH is the new chemical act in Europe. It was published on December 12, 2006 in the Official Gazette of the European Union (L 396) and came into force on June 01, 2007.
REACH is going to replace numerous acts of the European Union and will be implemented gradually.
In accordance with REACH all pre-registered chemicals ought to be registered within the next 11 years.
REACH concerns all producers, users and importers of chemicals and chemical mixtures. Even though REACH is only obligatory for Europe, this act affects also all producers outside Europe if they are planning to carry on doing business in Europe.

Klüber has compliance with the current EU regulation on chemicals, REACH, well before the deadline expires:
Klüber has pre-registered all chemical substances of own produce at the European Chemicals Agency ECHA in Helsinki. In combination with supplier commitments, the customers can be sure of the unrestricted availability and REACH conformity of all Klüber products. For some of their thickeners of own produce, Klüber are even ahead of REACH regulations: they are already regarded as officially registered as new substances at ECHA. Read more ...

having decided what will be reported to the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) already four months prior to the commencement of the pre-registration period, |

having contacted the suppliers already in 2007 to determine the availability of raw materials in order to ensure coherent and unbroken communication throughout the supply chain, |

dealing actively with REACH and its guidance documents through cooperation in associations. |
