Food-Grade Lubricants for the Food Processing Industry

In the food processing industry, normally only a small circle of engineers are familiar with the subject of lubricants. While technical product performance is a significant aspect, the physiological safety of food-grade lubricants is just as important. Both major requirements can be met by using synthetic USDA-H1 lubricants or lubricants in conformance with these standards. This paper gives an overview of the main criteria for lubricants in the food processing industry.
