Klüber Summit oils for refrigeration compressors help you to see the bright side of lubrication!

Whether for meat, beer or soft drinks: refrigerators operated on ammonia can be found throughout the food-processing industry (but not exclusively) - in production and storage as well as during transport. However, the lubrication of ammonia refrigeration compressors is not wholly without difficulty. A frequent problem is that vapourised oil is entrained in the refrigeration cycle, sometimes with unfriendly consequences.

To prevent problems such as the blackening of oil due to chemical reactions with ammonia, rubber-like deposits on extremely hot parts and impaired sealing action, but also to avoid rapid oil ageing and the consequent frequent oil change intervals, high oil consumption and wear on components, Klüber has developed a set of really cool products for such compressors: Klüber Summit RHT 68, Klüber Summit RPA-68 and Klüber Summit R 200.

Klüber Summit RHT 68 is a highly refined mineral oil without undesirable impurities that helps to prevent reaction with ammonia. Klüber Summit RPA 68 is a synthetic oil based on PAO and alkyl benzene and excels by its wide service temperature range down to -55 °C evaporator temperature. Klüber Summit R 200 is based on a pure PAO and can be safely used in the food-processing industry since it is NSF H1 approved. How this makes all the difference from commonly used, naphtene-based mineral oils, our lubrication specialists will be glad to explain in detail: Just contact us!
