Australian racing team win Formula SAE with Klüber Lubrication

Klüber Lubrication would like to congratulate the University of Wollongong on being the first ever international team to win the prestigious Formula SAE competition in the USA. Launched in 1980, Formula SAE is now an international competition for student members of the Society of Automotive Engineers to form teams and design, build and compete in small racing cars. The Australian student team beat off competition from 140 other competing university teams in Detroit and attained first position in the categories of endurance and design.

Klüber Lubrication Australia was integrated into the racing car project from an early stage and was able to evaluate the specific needs of each component and subsequently recommend the ideal lubricant. As a result wheel bearings, CV joints, chains, steering, brakes and much more were all running with Klüber. The specialist in lubrication made an integral contribution to the car’s success and performance as it does at top racing events all over the world.
